hey everyone,
just wanted to toss up a quick post. finished my house ghost painting, made a dead octopus and drew a pretty sweet matador for my new short series on bull fighting. here are two out of the three!

(ugh, i have such a hard time getting dark blue to look right in the computer. this is pretty close though)

when i get a good footing on paper i will post the matador sketches. there will be about 5-6 paintings in all. i want to show the unpalatable violence bull fighting and the cruelty to the animals and how it is decorated with flashy showmanship. serious, right?

dinosaurs vs vampires

hey everyone
so the past weekend we had the opening for the halloween art show up in boston, and it was pretty awesome. it was just a few of us in the show, and we actually had a sponsor, bear flag wine, and then there was a showing of "night of the living dead" at a bar/restaurant down the street on newbury. i gotta say, as much as i love new york, boston is sooo much cleaner and nicer looking. man, new york is a dump.
any who, here are my paintings from the show!

i also had my "neville longbottom" piece along with "my fears are behind me" piece. hopefully stuff sells, but if not i get to hang them on my walls! i have grown pretty attached to neville.

and of course, i get more ideas that fit the theme of a show After the show itself. heres a sketch for a new painting im gonna do this week. its partially based off a best fwends song.

in other news, my website revamping is pretty much ready to get underway, now i just have to have some show me how to work dreamweaver again. and my matador series sketches are slowly coming along.

hey everyone!
I am going to be in an Art Show up in boston with some old buddies of mine this fiday
@ Diesel. 339 Newbury st, Boston, MA 02115 starts at 8PM
if anyone is in boston check it out! im not sure how long the work will be up for, but i will post that as soon as i find out.
Im going to have about 4 large pieces in the show, with 6 small spot illustrations. oh, and its all Halloween themed.

so i know it has been forever since my last post, but for good reason! my roommates and i finally moved up to washington heights. i eat enchiladas and fantastic cheap sandwiches all the time, its awesome.
sadly though i will be taking a leave of absence for a little bit, to redo my website and work on some new paintings for a gallery and promo stuff.

hey everyone
yeah, its been a while since my last post. been a bit busy and haven't gotten to make alot of new stuff, BUT! i got a whole ton of new ideas and sketches going, as well as the desire to finish old things. i got a pretty sweet and fairly simple idea for a few paintings on matadors, the bull fights, and a few portraits. i want to start to make a lot more smaller pieces as well, as i got an esty account and want to start the selling out early. more about that to come! in the mean time, here is a page from my brand new sketch book (i finally retired the old one!)

hey everyone
so my roommates and i may be moving soon! nothing is settled yet, but we are hoping to get out of our shitty building.
ive also been working on my new website, and ive realized i have a TON of stuff to go on it! there may even be a store section with original paintings and prints. it's gonna take a while to construct but i want to get it up and running as soon as i can so i can start pushing for more illustrations jobs.

hey everyone
greta and i went to go see the new harry potter this weekend, and while it looks awesome, there wasnt enough Longbottom! luckily i finished my neville painting

i picked up this ssweet new brush pen the other day, and i love it. i kinda miss drawing recklessly and not as meticulously.

hey everyone,
oh man! its the summer finally! the nice weather has been like new life breathed into my desire to draw and paint and make things. its wonderful. so i have been collecting a ton of comics lately, i started reading lone wolf and cub on the bus rides, and good gos is it an amazing comic.
any who, here are some new sketches and drawings.

heres a sketch for a new illustration im working on of Jay Reatard, as soon as i finish my current painting im gonna start on this one

so after forever ive dug up my Neville Longbottom sketch and have started the final. heres the under-drawing, the final painting soon to come.

old dogs

hey everyone
here are two paintings, both gifts, i finally finished. guess which is for a 5 month old baby?

this one is entitled "old dogs" these are irish wolf hounds, they're like giant dr suess versions of wolves, awesome dogs.

this one was a commissions for one of the brokers i work with for her little boy andreas, adorable little guy! thats him amongst the animals.

here are two recent pages from my sketch book as well.

im working on some new sketches for some more back to basics illustrations as well as a sketches for a idea im kicking around thats about kids, anime and abstraction. not really sure what i want to do with it, but that will come with time. more sketches and paintings to come.

hey everyone,
I have this idea, to do a drawing a day. in perfect fairness, many people have had this idea, but that is besides the point. and i almost always draw something everyday, some times for many hours (as one of my jobs is kind enough to ask that of me), but that is also besides the point.
the point is to push my own personal drawings to be more fun, more creative, and more more.
i miss generating the volume of work i did when i started making this whole thing. and i am not afraid of losing the quality in the quantity, for fear in art is a thing of the past. i am excited for the future, as i usually am in the world.
now, as far as posting goes, i highly doubt i am diligent enough to post everyday, maybe not ever every week, but i will do my best to post each drawing, regardless of how much time i spent on it.
i'm not really sure how long i will do this for, but i imagine i will stop sooner than later, but no worries.
anywho, i havent scanned anything new in for a while, but i promise, i will have tons to show later!

hey everyone
oh jeez oh man, the gallery opening is finally over! the seemed to go pretty well, thank you to all who came out. now that the dust has settled i have two new pieces im already working on. one, is a piece to trade with a friend, and the other to show my love for neville longbottom, which is actually more of a call back to editorial style. im starting to miss working in the mind set, and i kinda want to get more free lance coming in so i better hop on the good foot. (as i will be having to pay for a pet rabbit soon) anyways, enjoy!

hey everyone!
so as promised here is my new painting, which will serve as reference for a new painting im making for the upcoming gallery. just trying to learn new things and come up with new tricks. its fun how at times i still struggle like crazy with creating space and depth. i guess i will always be learning that.

hey everyone
so my painting is finally done, just need to scan it at and clean it up. it will be up soon!
in other news i am going to be submitting new stuff to the destination gallery for two shows, one in may and one in june! the first one is the "show and sell" exhibition, bunch of artists with work for sale, and the second one is on theme "transportation" so i will be making some brand new stuff for both and hopefully i will be in!

just a quick peek at some of the things ive been working on in the lab.
heres a little number for no reason

this is a painting i did for one of the kids my mom use to take care of at day care, she was one of my moms best kids and i would baby sitter her every now and then. she is sick, so my prayers and best wishes go to her!

and finally, heres is a new sketch for painting im making for a friend for our art trade. fun times.

i will start painting my other pieces ive had cooking for a while as soon as this one is done, so hopefully by this weekend i will be under way. yeah!

hey all
man oh man its been a while since my last post! been super busy with work and family and girlfriend, so i havent been paying much attention to this here blog. plus, i dont have too much new good stuff, this past month has been a slow art month for me, but feb will fix that
heres a painting i made for myself, of jelly fish of course.

here are two paintings i did for these graffiti bags i was hired to do, they're pretty simple, nothing too exciting.

i will be starting some new paintings soon, i want to finish the peer pressure/bad vibrations series, and if i have it in me i will finish the loveless haunting series. plus, i have a new series im pretty excited about, i will put up the drawings when i get them all polished as a sneak peak soon!

so i am finally back in new york after going back to RI for christmas to see my mom and the relatives, still waiting for my brothers to be home so we can have christmas part II.

so while i havent dont anything in the past few days, here are some things i did as gifts for people.
