summer times!

hey everyone,
oh man! its the summer finally! the nice weather has been like new life breathed into my desire to draw and paint and make things. its wonderful. so i have been collecting a ton of comics lately, i started reading lone wolf and cub on the bus rides, and good gos is it an amazing comic.
any who, here are some new sketches and drawings.

so after forever ive dug up my Neville Longbottom sketch and have started the final. heres the under-drawing, the final painting soon to come.

old dogs

hey everyone
here are two paintings, both gifts, i finally finished. guess which is for a 5 month old baby?

this one is entitled "old dogs" these are irish wolf hounds, they're like giant dr suess versions of wolves, awesome dogs.

this one was a commissions for one of the brokers i work with for her little boy andreas, adorable little guy! thats him amongst the animals.

im working on some new sketches for some more back to basics illustrations as well as a sketches for a idea im kicking around thats about kids, anime and abstraction. not really sure what i want to do with it, but that will come with time. more sketches and paintings to come.

Challenging Me

hey everyone,
I have this idea, to do a drawing a day. in perfect fairness, many people have had this idea, but that is besides the point. and i almost always draw something everyday, some times for many hours (as one of my jobs is kind enough to ask that of me), but that is also besides the point.
the point is to push my own personal drawings to be more fun, more creative, and more more.
i miss generating the volume of work i did when i started making this whole thing. and i am not afraid of losing the quality in the quantity, for fear in art is a thing of the past. i am excited for the future, as i usually am in the world.
now, as far as posting goes, i highly doubt i am diligent enough to post everyday, maybe not ever every week, but i will do my best to post each drawing, regardless of how much time i spent on it.
i'm not really sure how long i will do this for, but i imagine i will stop sooner than later, but no worries.
anywho, i havent scanned anything new in for a while, but i promise, i will have tons to show later!

gallery peaces

hey everyone
oh jeez oh man, the gallery opening is finally over! the seemed to go pretty well, thank you to all who came out. now that the dust has settled i have two new pieces im already working on. one, is a piece to trade with a friend, and the other to show my love for neville longbottom, which is actually more of a call back to editorial style. im starting to miss working in the mind set, and i kinda want to get more free lance coming in so i better hop on the good foot. (as i will be having to pay for a pet rabbit soon) anyways, enjoy!
